To recover from a crash, will I have a lot of dates available ?

Here is my question, how many dates to go back to, for a crash recovery do I
have. Do I have to once in a while request back-up dates, or does Win XP
Home and Pro do that automatically. I hate to have a emergency and find out
I only have one recovery date. Please explain or let me read a URL. You
guys here are the best........Peter

Hi, Peter.

System Restore on my PC provides restore points going back about 90 days.
These are shown on a calendar when you go to
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore/Next and the radio
button "Restore my computer to an earlier time" is enabled. All these
restore points are created automatically.

I have had to use it a few times and found it works fine.
