In Excel, you can add to a cell =today() to get the currrent days date. Is
there a way to get a text box in Powerpoint to display the time? Displayed as
hh:mm and also another text box that displays the time + 10 minutes?

I don't want this to change, just be displayed at the exact time the
powerpoint slide is opened.

Thanks.

Create it in Excel as you've described, save the file to the same folder as your
PPT file, then select the text copy it, switch to PPT and choose Edit, Paste
Special, Link, as Microsoft Excel Object.

Keep the XLS and PPT together.

When you open the PPT, it'll update from the Excel sheet automatically.
