Time Server Problems - windows XP.doc

I have setup a windows 2000 member server with the
following registery entries.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Ti
me\Parameters]
"LocalNTP"=dword:00000001
"Period"="SpecialSkew"
"type"="NTP"
"NtpServer"= "IP Address of unix ntp server"
"Adj"=dword:00026254
"msSkewPerDay"="1284.0000"
"ReliableTimeSource"=dword:00000000

My Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0 machines are getting
their time fine.

Windows XP Internet Time dialog says.

An error occurred while windows was synchronizing
with server.
The time sample was rejected because: Packet contains
unreasonable
Root delay or root dispersion values. This may be caused
by poor network conditions.

Or.
An error occurred while windows was synchronizing
with server.
The time sample was rejected because: Duplicate timestamps
were received from this peer.

There are no errors in the event logs. In fact I get a
event ID: 35 in source w32time that says the time service
is now synchroniszing the system time with the time
source. But my machine is still 2 minutes AHEAD of the
time server.

I am still on a NT 4.0 domain model so I cannot sych to
AD. I also have 100MB switched to the desktop with about
3% utilization. All my machines are pointing to server as
a NTP time server.
