Hi All,
I currently have a windows 2003 server running sucessfully as a time server
that synchronizes with an ouside source.
The problem that I'm having is that not all of our XP clients and Windows
2000/2003 servers are in the domain. I need to find a way to syncronize
these systems without adding third party software.
It appears that using the command Net Time gives me back a "Could not locate
a time-server" message when I run net time in a non domain environment. I
tried telneting to port 123 (stanadard NTP port) to the Windows 2003 server
but could not connect either. Does Windows 2003 use that port? is it a NTP
server or it's own special time server.
Any help with this issue would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
