I'm running XP Pro, SP 2 and all available updates have been installed. When
I click on a link to a tif file (NOAA weather map), I get a window with an
option to download. I can download the file and then view it with Windows
Picture and Fax Viewer, but it won't open in the browser. How can I
associate the W P+F Viewer with the browser, so the tif file will open in the
browser, without having to download the file?

Open Windows Explorer and click Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to TIF and click Advanced.
Select 'open' and click Edit.
Set Application used to perform this action to:
rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1

Frank,
Tif files are not on the list displayed at
Explorer/Tools/FolderOptions/FileTypes
I guess I'll try Alternatiff. Thanks, Trey
