Thumbnail Folder Names Stopped Displaying In My Pictures

Hi Folks,

While using the "Thumbnail" display in "My Pictures," the folder names have
stopped displaying. I cannot seem to find a way to correct the problem. I
am sure it is something simple, but I can't figure it out. The Thumbnail
folder names do still appear in "my Documents" and other places.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thank You!

The following tweak originally posted by
Yves Alarie should solve the problem.

"How to Restore or Disable File Names
for Thumbnails in Windows XP"
(works for thumbnail view and filmstrip view)

Open a folder that contains image files.

Press and hold your Shift key while clicking
on the View button and select Details.

Continue holding the Shift key and click
on the View button and select Thumbnails
again.

I'm glad I was able to find this fix, is there a way to fix this permanently?
I have to use this Shift trick everytime, not sure why this even started in
the first place, another one of those annoying Windows mysteries?

It is permanent as long as you keep
your finger off of the shift key when
selecting your View Options.
