No thumbnail image in My Pictures

Can anyone help? On opening My Pictures, I no longer have images displayed
in thumbnail view (or any other as far as I can see), just an outline and a
file icon. I do have Adobe Photoshop 2.0, Canon Zoom Browser and Kodak
EasyShare installed, although I'm not sure they're the problem. Images are
displayed on the top of folders in My Pictures, but not on individual files.
Can anyone help, I just want my thumbnails back, it make life a lot easier.

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

If that fails...maybe the following info will be useful:

There is a registry patch at the link below
that *might* solve your problem.

Read the following articles about editing

Dear John Inzer,

it worked first time, thank you so much! Which I'm glad of, because I
didn't want to start messing about with the registry! Thank you again!
