This is a windowsXP help and support newsgroup it is NOT restricted to
remote ass.

Correct.

However, because of the aptly-named title, the group turned into a "general
support - part II" group way back when XP was initially released....and it
certainly is not going to change back now. There is also a group dedicated
to working remotely here:
