I have several forms published to a test website: http://206.168.102.113/
They are supposed to return an email but I get the following error though
the server insists all FP extensions are in place.
"FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.

Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details."

I get the message above in the subject in front page. Any ideas?
I'm thinking of linking them to asp pages but don't know how.

Did you publish using http:// ??

If not, repair the extensions and then republish. Do not FTP as it breaks
the extensions and doesn't publish all of the necessary files for the forms.

1) you have a form filed outside of the form tags
<input type="hidden" value="images/New.gif" name="Status">
2) does the save file exist at _private/englit.csv
3) your submit button is looking for the script "YY_checkform" in "onclick="YY_checkform('form1.....

I published by http://. I don't have a server on my computer but my ISP says
all extensions are in order. I've seen your posts re: email to the same
domain name but I don't have a domain on the test site. My ISP is not
familiar with Front Page at all. Is there a knowledge base article he can
read on setting up email? He has me adding addresses to the "reply to" option
and I don't think that has anything to do with his end.

I love your signature--and I did remember to view this post from my
computer. HA!

Thanks! Nancy

I'm looking through the code now to correct things. I've had a few classes on
XHTML but am not familiar with form coding. I appreciate all your help. None
of my forms work and all return the error message about checking the server's
event log. I appreciate all your help!!

I downloaded "How to send form results to a database and an e-mail address"
for FP 2000. It talks about setting up asp pages. Is there an updated one for
FP 2003? I wouldn't know how to get the database info later though. I am a
complete novice at forms though I REALLY want to learn. I appreciate all your
time!

Thasnks, Nancy
