_private/form_results.txt - no longer creates when "Submit" is

I had a business website on a UNIX server with no problems using my FORM
created with FrontPage 98. I moved to HostMySite.com using an ASP.NET with FP
extensions 2002, and the FORM no longer creates a Formatted Text file
"_private/form_results.txt".

Instead, when SUBMIT is hit, I see: "FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details. "

Here's what I know:

1. I have triple-checked the link
2. Recalculating FP extensions does not fix the problem.
3. When I upload new items with FP, I have to go into "Configure Version
Control" and check the box under "Use built-in version control" in order for
my web page theme background to show. Then I have to uncheck this box to
"None" to be able to upload any more items in FP.

The Website Techs are at a loss, and I'm in trouble without this FORM.

Any HELP would be appreciated.

A link to the page nearly always helps to solve problems.
Is the form on an .him (or .html) page? To use the FP extensions it should
be.

And to "move" you need to Publish the form page as a part of the site to the new site with the FP SE
(or open it and Edit it in FP on the new site)

Hello and Thanks for the response. The Form is an .htm . The results of the
form are supposed to be in the "_private/form_results.txt folder" which is
created by the form upon hitting "Submit", according to the Options button on
the hyperlink. There is an option to create an email link, but that would
jeopardize the information that I don't want to leave the site.

Thank you, also, for your response. Yes, the Form was published as part of
the site to the new site with FP SE.

Forms should not have any hyperlinks - as I said, a link to the form page
will help to see what is actually there, or post the code (as seen in the
View Source in a browser) here.

Problem Solved: Host Reps stated that the _private file had no Write
Permissions and they corrected that. Anyways-Thanks to All for your help.
