Theta Greek Maths symbol

I can select this character from Insert > Symbol menu in any font and this
appears OK on the screen. When I print, this character is replaced by a
question mark ... Other characters in the same area such as mew, alpha etc
print OK.
Does anyone know how to overcome this?

I don't know if this will work, but you might try copying it and using Paste
Special to paste it back as a picture.
