Self-taught FP2003 user... trying to add a theme (compass
1001) to new site I am developing. I create it all fine,
preview it all fine. I use Cute FTP, go to upload the
files and I can't find the theme files to upload to the
site - so although all my other work shows up fine
(graphics, text, etc...) the theme background image does
not. Any help greatly appreciated.

Themes require publishing of the site via FP, not FTP uploads.

Themes are stored in the _hidden folder named _themes in your web
- you need to turn on the ability to see all files - including hidden system files
