themes and appearances

I am not able to change themes except to use the XP
theme. This is a new problem, and I think it results from
using Kodak Easyshare software and then deleting it. I
may have deleted more than I thought. I reinstalled the
XP upgrade, but not luck with the themes. Any suggestions?

Are you saying that you are no longer able to select "Windows Classic Style"?

If you mean that you are no longer able to select "Windows XP Style", then..

[Start]
| Run |
services.msc
[Enter]

Navigate to "Themes" service
Startup Type [ Automatic ]
[Apply]
[Start]
[OK]

Now, in Control Panel
| Display |
/Appearance\
"Windows and Buttons"
you should have a choice of "Windows Classic Style" and "Windows XP Style"

Did you "delete" Kodak Easyshare software via

Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs |

or did you just "delete" files and folders using Windows Explorer?
