Theme will not up load

Mike

I am writing in hope that you can help with a problem that
I am having publishing my web site using Microsoft Front
Page 2000. I have built the web site
(www.themightyskunk.co.uk) using the Front-Page program &
publish it using 'Smart FTP' to transfer it onto my
service provider 'Clara.net'. Prior to using Front Page I
published my web site with Microsoft Word & had no
problems.
The problem that I am encountering is that when I upload
my web site to the server I lose the features of the
applied theme (ie. the back ground, bullets & navigation
bar icons).

I have contacted Clara.net who have confirmed that their
server does support Front Page 2000 (but not 2002).

Is this a common problem or am I overlooking something
obvious?

Is there any FTP software that you recommend for use with
Front Page? Ant assistance that you can offer is greatly
appreciated.

Could you please direct any response to Michael.hagan
(remove this)@virgin.net

Many thanks

If Clara.net has the FP extensions installed on your account, DO NOT use
FTP, instead open the local copy of your web in FP, then File Menu | Publish
Web and enter http://www.themightyskunk.co.uk and then your login info.
However since you have used FTP, the host may need to re-install the
extensions for your account first.

1) Themes do not need the FP SE, but if you FTP your site you must also FTP the _hidden folders (all _derived folders for
navigation, and the _themes folder)
2) If your host supports the FP Server Extensions, By FTPing you have clobbered them.
- have your host repair/reapply them and publish the site w/ FP using File Publish Web and enter your url as:
http://www.themightyskunk.co.uk/ and log in.
Your only limitation (w/ a host running the FP2000 SE) is you can't use any of the features requiring the FP 2002 SE - see
