Theme content will not upload

I would appreciate any advice anyone could give me
regarding the following problem.

I had until recently been running my website using the
Microsoft (98) Word program & recently re-built the site
using Front Page (2000). My service provider is Clara.net
& I am uploading using 'Smart FTP'. The problem that I
seem to have is that when I upload web pages I lose all
the properties of the chosen 'theme'. ie. I lose the
background colour, bullets, buttons etc. I have contacted
Clara.net who have informed me that they do support Front
Page 2000 (although not 2002).

If anyone can offer any thoughts on this problem it is
greatly appreciated.
