In the last 12 years I have been to the theater to see a movie only twice. :lol: Next week I am going to see my favourite movie of all time in the theater with my son. It is "Lawrence of Arabia" It is being screened here in the US on two days only Sept 1st and 4th.

"This digital print of Lawrence of Arabia is presented in 4K. Utilizing 8K scans of the 65mm original negative, the picture was painstakingly restored, removing the damage, deterioration and fading it had experienced over 50 years. Accompanied by remastered 5.1 audio, the film is presented in its original 2.20 aspect ratio, along with the original overture and intermission"

I am very excited!!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

I LOVE that film! It's been years since I watched it, but I imagine that a 4k remastered version will be amazing. Bet you'll enjoy it :D.

Watched the new movie from Netflix last night - The Irishman. Always liked the Mafia films (The Godfather series, Goodfellas, Casino etc.) and this one is right up there with them. De Niro, Pacino and Pesci are the stars and, although they are now getting on a bit, they have been "de-aged" with CGI in the flashback scenes, which is the majority of the film. This works only reasonably well in that, although you can tell what sort of age they're supposed to be in the scenes, even when they are "younger" they still often move and walk like older men. When De Niro had youngish kids he still, to me, looked like their grandfather and other times their faces did look a bit suspect.

Apart from that the film is enjoyable if a tad long at 3 hours 30 minutes. Still I was so engrossed that the time flew by remarkably well. I would certainly recommend it. :thumb:

Definitely going to watch this! Heard a little bit about it a few months back and it sounds great... what a trio to feature in the film too.

Will report back in a couple of weeks :D

That looks fun - very much like stranger things with that cast too! :D

I like how they've tied Harold Ramis in to the story, I just wonder where the rest of the cast will fit in.

Just watched 6 Underground from Michael Bay with Ryan Reynolds

Incredible SFX and stunts.
If you like him and action movies Please please watch it. Superb!! Silly in parts but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

And it's part of a new Reynolds Franchise apparently

I have that on my watchlist, by all accounts its pretty generic and over the top. Typical Michael Bay affair!

This, cannot wait for it.

I watched Rise of Skywalker last night. It was alright, mostly good, but not without issues. Probably as good as it could have been thanks to The Last Jedi.
