The page cannot be refreshed without resending the information

I m using WinXP Service Pack 2 and IE6.0.2900.2180. My buddy runs the same
system as mine. We both are co-located in the same office. We both use
Personal Firewall (come with XP service pack 2).

*I always get this message: "The page cannot be refreshed without resending
the information" message dialog when I do the followings:

1. Click on a link that automatically opens a PDF report. At first, the IE
said it is "Done" download the report (bottom left corner, on IE status
line) but the page is blank (empty). Nothing on it.

2. I then have to click the "Refresh" button and the above message crops up.
I finally click the "Retry" button on the message dialog in order to truly
download and see the PDF report.

However, on my friend PC, as soon as he clicks on the link button to
download the PDF report, IE immediatelly asks him if he would want to Open
and or Save ? He clicks "Open" and the PDF appears quickly!

So, I think it is a matter of how my IE security settings are on my box is
set.

Thanks for your help.

you may be right. your security settings may be too high, so set it to a
more moderate level. Tools-options, security tab, drag slider down to medium
or low and test it out to see if it works. any problems, please post here; i
can help you.
