The Network path was not found

Everytime I try to access the shared documents on my Win98
computer from my Win XP Home computer I get the error that
ends with : The Network path was not found. I have tried
all of the recommendations that I found here in this
newsgroup but I still get this message. What do I need to
do to "Find the path"? Oh also my WinXP computer doesn't
even show up in My Network Places or the workgroup on
either computer. Thanks for any help you can give.

Try accessing the win 98 on the xp computer by typing the
98 computer's name in the Start | Run box in this format:

\\computer

Try opening My Network Places, clicking "Add a network
place", and browsing to a shared disk or folder on win 98.

Revert back if this doesn't work.
