The network path was not found.

Hello,
Please help me set up my home network. I have read through these pages and
tried many of the suggestions but cannot get things to work... why is this
so difficult? Here goes:

I am trying to network the following 2 PC's for file and printer sharing:

Laptop:
Windows XP Professional SP2
Wireless internet connection using Linksys WRT54G

Desktop:
Windows XP Home SP2
Wired internet connection using Linksys WRT54G

Both PC's can access the internet and they can see each ohter under:
Network Tasks, View workgroup computers. However, when I try to access
either, the Network path was not found error appears. Both are on the MSHOME
network. From the laptop I can access the desktop's shared folders by using
the Run \\IP Address of other Computer command, but the desktop cannot do the
same to access the laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks!

So which Firewall program do you have installed that has never been properly
configured to allow File and Printer Sharing?

I believe that I just have the SP2 firewall, and maybe a firewall in the
router? Also, I have McAfee virus scan... not sure if that has a firewall.
How could I tell?
