Hey Everyone,

I am the newsletter editor for a local Section of an
engineeing society (IESNA). I distribute the newsletter
using Outlook and the email addresses gathered in a sub-
folder under CONTACTS.

I address the mass email by inserting the addresses from
the pop-up window that comes up after hitting TO,
selecting the sub-folder containing the names, and
selecting the names I want...generally all of them in this
sub-folder.

Immediately after sending it out I always get 5-6 messages
as follows:

SUBJECT: Undeliverable: Tarheel Section, IESNA, July 2003
Newsletter

BODY: Your message did not reach some or all of the
intended recipients.

Subject: Tarheel Section, IESNA, July

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

Bruce Trimbur (Business Fax) on 7/28/2003 3:29 PM
The e-mail address could not be found.
Perhaps the recipient moved to a different e-mail
organization, or there was a mistake in the address.
Check the address and try again.

I have throughly checked the information in each of the
contacts and can find nothing unusual. I have only one
(1) email address in these contacts. I do have the
telephone and fax numbers listed in the appropriate places.

The question is - what must I change so I stop getting the
above undeliverable return messages?

Thanks for you help,

Frank

I had the same problem with a large user. There is an
article concerning that problem. It is a known problem
with outlook. It has to do with the fax number you have
entered. If you export the entire list to a CSV file,
open it in excel, find the column called fax number and
change that to other number, that will clear up the
problem. If you go to knowledge base and look you can
find the article. I forget which it is at this time. Hope
this helps.

Jim
