The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable

Having completed a MST from an outlook 2003 install on
most computeres everything works well with a deployment
through a GP. Occasionally there there is a problem where
the computer responds with the following error, "The
connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is
unavailable".

Testing completed:
- Event log displays no errors except for a reference to
MOT(?, looked this up in knwledge base - no joy) and a
ODBC component!
- no errors on DC
- unable to open Control Panel / Mail with a reference to
unable to conntact Exchange server.
- Was able to connect to Exchange server using Telnet 25


very puzzled!

I have the same issue. I've deployed 30 machines through gp and have one that
can't connect to the Exchange server. This machine had Outlook in his startup
if that makes any difference. Did you figure out anything?
