Terminal services printing

C

Carl Garcia

Im using a windows XP client logging into a Win2k Terminal
server, i have an identical driver match loaded on both
the terminal server and the client for A HP Deskjet 450.
When i log into the terminal services session i can see my
local printer and print out a test page fine as long as i
am part of the Domain admins group, if i remove myself
from the group then log back into terminal services i can
see the printer, but nothing will print out. If i check
the event log of the terminal server, the following system
event is logged. Event 61 Win32 error code returned by the
print processor: 5 (0x5). as far as im aware this
processor code is telling me that access was denied. Is
there anyway i can get all the users on the network to be
able to print through terminal services to a remote
printer without adding them to the domain admins group?

I too had the same problem. I ended up putting each user
in admin group, setting up their printer, and taking them
out of the group. This was the only solution I could
come to/find/workaround. Someone else also had this
problem, they put everyone in power-user group; admin
group worked for me. If it works, credit goes to this
stranger.

Luck,
