Terminal Services connection - CTRL-ALT-DEL

Bill

I have Win2k server with terminal services running on a PC that I
would like to be able to use Remote Desktop from a WinXP Pro box to
connect. The problem is the first screen I see when I get in is the
Windows Security box that requires the user to hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to log
in.

Whats up with that? There is no way to enter a 3 finger salute without
it effecting the host PC. I should be getting the security screen
right after that that allows me to enter a userid & password.

Thanks for any help.....

Ctrl-alt-end does the trick.

Yep, thats it. Thanks....... now that opens up another problem. I
enter my username & pw & it says "The system cannot log you on. Access
denied". I've tried all the users & the admin account, none worked.
When I setup the users, I went into the Terminal Services tab &
checked the "allow terminal service sessions" box.
Is there any documentation online about TS?
Thanks again.

I think you can disable the requirement for the three
finger salute by checking out this site:

http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/971/

Typically, access is denied through terminal services if
you aren't setup properly through the terminal services
configuration. Go to your terminal services configuration
and double check that your account is listed as having
permissions to logon through the rdp-tcp connection.
