Terminal services and office 2000

Sharat Kumar

I have a windows 2000 server with terminal services and
office 2000 running on it. When i restarted the server
yesterday i received an error with blue scr

stop: c0000135 {unable to locate dll} the dynamic link
library winsrv.dll could not be found in the specified
path Default load path.
and it used to restart continuously, so i repaired it with
an Emergency repair disk. After the repair server is
booting and working fine from the console but when users
login from Terminal session and launch excel they can see
only a blank screen and not the cells and even if they
open some files it is the ssame problem. I tried to
reinstall office 2000 but it is not solving my problem.

pls suggest me what to do.

Regards,
Sharat

You mention re-installing Office. Did you do a complete
uninstall and then re-install or did you do a repair?

You do not mention if winsrv.dll exists on the box - have
you looked for it in the specified path?
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;825237 will tell you what version and size that file
should be. While I am unaware if any hotfixes since
update this file, it is one that is replaced when you
install Service Pack 4 so you might try applying or re-
applying SP4 and see if that helps.
