Terminal Server, two quick questions...

Joe

I have two quick questions:

1.) Is there a step by step out there to show how to
set up a terminal license server on my DC so that I can
then give out licenses for my users to access the terminal
server?

2.) Will a 2003 terminal server work fine in a 2000
domain? And are there any tweaks I need to know if I go
that way? The users are running 2000 clients, if I go with
a 2003 terminal server will I have to buy all new 2003
CAL's for them? I know a 2000 terminal server would let me
use my existing 2000 CAL's.

Go to Control Panel - Add / Remove Programs - Add/Remove Windows
Components - Terminal Services - Select TS Licensing only

Yes, you can have a 2003 TS as a member server in a W2K domain. In
that case, the TS Licensing must also run on the TS (or any other
2003 server in your domain). You might have to point the TS to it.
Yes, you will need both 2003 server CALs and 2003 TS CALs for all
clients.
