Terminal server problems

S

Stephane Gagnon

Hi, I have a Terminal Server setup on a Windows 2000 server, running in
application mode. It's licensed and been running for about 6 months now.
I have 2 satellite offices that connect to the main office. Everything
works fine until I get this message: "The terminal server has ended the
connection". It appears for no appearent reason. The server is up to
date, and appart from that problem, it works great.

It disconnects with that message, and I just go and reconnect afterward.
I have a couple of Windows 2000 machine, and 1 Windows 98. All do the
same every once and then. I tried looking around the web, but couldn't
find anything relevent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Stephane,

Try searching this group for MTU and KeepAlive. There are numerous
links to Microsoft Knowledge Base articles that would probably get you
up and running. Also, what kind of links are your satellite offices
on? DSL? T1? ISDN? Another couple of things you might want to search
for are TcpDataRetransmission and TcpInitialRtt.
