Temp Internet Files won't move WES?

Months ago I had relocated my Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 to
another partition where I park other temp items. I did so using the
Internet Options|Settings|Move Folder routine and they easily moved from C
to D. As I want to use Disk Clean to clean those files as well as others I
need to move them back to C:Doc and Settings|my name|Local Settings, etc. I
did so this morning using the moving routine shown above. The message
appeared that the computer would shut down so that the move could be
affected. It did so. After re-start I checked both C and D and found that
C now had a folder for Temp Int Files as it should, but it is empty.
Checking the old location on D showed that the Temp Internet Folder and all
of its sub folders remain, and were not moved. Checking Internet options
shows that the Temp Internet Folder location is on C. After two re-boots it
remains the same. Can I cut and paste? I don't want to leave anything
behind in D.
Suggestions appreciated. TIA, Dick

Many thanks PC for the reply. It worked like a charm. My experience hasn't
always been so good so I have learned to get expert opinions before diving
in alone. Dick

There is nothing in those folders that you need to keep. Just delete the
one on D.

To make it easier to find your messages in newsgroups in Outlook Express...

Outlook Express | View | Current View | Show Replies to my Messages

[[Show Replies to my Messages (use only with newsgroups).
This view displays only messages that are replies to a message you posted on
a newsgroup. ]]

Or just hit Ctrl + H.

Hit Ctrl + H again to show all messages.

I honestly can't imagine that there would be anything that you would want to
keep from the old TIF location.
