Telephony Service

Darren

I have a problem when I click on my Phone and Modem Options in control
panel.

The screen wont come up and I get an error saying There may have been a
problem starting Telephony Service.

Looking through the services, I can't seem to find any that are telephony or
TAPI related.

I use PCAnywhere, and it doesn't list my modem as a connection option
anymore.

Querying the modem through device manager works fine, so I'm not sure what's
going on here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Click Start-Run-Type services.msc and click OK. There should be a
service labeled Telephony. Double click it and set it to automatic and
click OK. If it is not started, start it as well. If this service is
not there, you will need to install it.

Here is a little more info on it:
