When I need to change my lan cards network settings (DNS etc.) eg to access
my other computer I get a dialog "in order to configure TCP/IP you must
install and enable a network adapter card". Even though the card is there and
enabled.
So then after uninstalling and reinstalling the lan card in control panel
and winsock, reboot Tcp/ip reset and all. The tcp/ip settings on the lan card
are not retained (DNS etc) when I change them.
My dial up connection no longer works no matter whether I create a new
connection or not.
The only solution is to restore to the previous settings. I've searched the
KB and used the various suggestions all to no avail.
Any suggesttions most welcome
