TCP/IP Print through LPT1

Tony Hopkins

Hi,

I have an HP Color Laserjet 1500 that is printed to using
a HP standard TCP/IP Port and is shared to enable printing
from a DOS/CMD window. All works fine for windows apps.

Printing from DOS/CMD window using either Copy/Net
Use/Print puts the document in the printer queue and
displays the usual printing information, however, nothing
arrives at the printer.

Can anyone help?

Seems like everybody is having a DOS print problem.
I had this and found a conflict in the registry.
You may need to Regedit and remove anything that may
conflict.
For me it was pcAnywhere. I just took it out of the
registry. pcanywhere still works OK
We had a similar or same problem. due to the install of
PCanywhere. Had to go into the registry and delete
PCanwhere. It caused conflicts.
-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\
Monitors [PC Anywhere / HP / Bitware removed] -
Stopped / Started Spooler service......printing from cmd
line working fine. - Re-enabled 3rd party services via
MSCONFIG .......rebooted.
