Is there a way to place a desktop icon like Outlook
Express or Internet Explorer down on athe left side
of the taskbae? In ME all I had to do was drag them
down.

You should be able to drag the icon down and it will ask
if you would like a short cut placed there. If not make a
short cut on the background then drag it down there..
