Taskbar/System Tray Problem

Hello all,

When I right-click the taskbar and select properties the check box that
say's "Hide Inactive Icons" is greyed out and non-selectable. The "Show the
clock" check box is selectable but not the other.

Does anyone have a clue as to why "Hide Inactive Icons" is no longer
selectable. Seems like a registry problem to me, but I'm no expert and
wouldn't know how to fix it anyway.

All comments welcome on this one!!

If you have Norton/Symantec crap, read this.

I had just found out the culprit for this problem: it was "me". Some weeks
back I was fiddling with Norton's Utilities System Optimizer and had
check-marked Start menu /Turn off System Tray CleanUp. I am explaining this
for the benefit of other NAV users.
