Taskbar Cleaning

In the taskbar...in properties... theres a "hide all inactive icons"
box...then "customize"...

and in that box..you see a list of all the taskbar icons that have
loaded from various programs.

Is there a way to "clean" that box out of all the icons I dont use
anymore, without going into the registry to clean them?

Instead of "always hide"..i'd just as soon delete them completely....
