'Notification Area' changes won't stick.

Right-clicking on the Taskbar allows a user to customize the icons that
appear in the "Notification Area," the right-hand side of the Taskbar. Each
icon can be selected to: 1) Always Show, 2) Hide When Inactive, and 3)
Always Hide. Well, that's the idea anyway. On this computer, at least, the
selected setting reverts back to the default (usually: Hide When Inactive)
the next time the computer boots. There are several things I'd like to:
Always Hide, and I have selected this option for them, but they just won't
stay hidden. Ideas?

Did you lock the Taskbar after doing your changes?.
Also did you make the changes for Hide when inactive under Current Items Not
the past item?.
HTH.

Yep,

...on both counts. Locking the taskbar seems to make no difference.
Thanks, though.
