Hi,

My PC has only one user account with win xp pro.
But still very often Windows can't remember my personal settings.
Most often the taskbat is "half" reset. I have it 2 rows high, but it's
defaulted back to 1 row, hidding many quick launc icons.
Also autohide is then set to on again.
( I can't leave it to on, as else it stops working after a while and stays
on hiding any another application statusbar.)

Why Windows XP pro doesn't remember taskbar settings?
Any ideas?

Rina, set the Taskbar the way you want it and then rt click on it and
select Lock the Taskbar. That may help.

Apparently SSDP and uPNP can cause problems with the task bar, as can
autologon.Try disabling them in 'services'. This did the trick for me when I
had a similar problem.
Cheers,
Brian.
