Taskbar position setting

Is there any registry key that can be modified or created to (1) move the
taskbar to its default position at the bottom of the desktop (2) lock the
taskbar to the bottom of the desktop

Why? Mine keeps wandering & refuses to drag back.

Thanks

Blithe

You'll need to get to the bottom of the malware that is causing this to
happen.

Hi Blithe,

It sounds like some form of malware there... however the registry key you
are looking for is:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects2

The only thing you have to remember when using this key is that it is
changed at logon / logoff so if you change / restore the data within it, it
won't take effect until the next logon. Likewise, if you make changes to
your startmenu and then export the key - it won't contain the changes
because you'll need to logoff and on again first.

Hope this helps...

Jon
