My notification icons won't stay hidden. I've set and
reset the hide properties, but each time I power up, the
properties have changed back. How do I save the
properties of the notification area to keep certain icons
hidden for good? In other words, once I set the
properties, shouldn't they stay set until I change them?

AA3:
Right click an empty space on your taskbar / in the options that appear
click Properties / Choose the taskbar tab and at the bottom make sure there
is a check in the box next to "Hide inactive icons" then click the customize
button in the lower right hand corner > A "Customize Notifications" dialogue
box will appear > Highlight an item and a pull down "options menu" will
appear > Choose the option you want for each item then click the "Okay
button" to close > Click the "Apply button" on the taskbar properties then
the "Okay button" to close. The Icons aren't hidden at first because the
programs are active from the start up process.
Good luck, Jerry
