I have a icon on my Taskbar which I can not identify. It is brownish colour
with a red circle and a red line across the face. It has a label
"Disconnected" and when I right click an option "Exit".

In the Taskbar Customize Notifications window it does not give any more
information. What it is?

Run the Task Manager and see what processes/programs you have running.
Look up the names on Google or on some of the links below to identify
them.

Any chance you can make a screen shot and crop it down to the icon you're
talking about, post it online someplace and hook us up with a link? Being
able to see it might help get some better responses.

Better late than never - the answer

This thread looks long dead, but I found it when searching for the same information as the OP, so here's the answer in case anyone else ever passes this way...

The icon belongs to a process called tsnp2std.exe, which is something that gets installed with webcams I believe.
