Goldish mystery icon says disconnected...

Goldish mystery icon in systray says "disconnected" if you hover. Has a red
circle with slash and if you right click says exit. I am not sure what it
does or is doing? It looks like it has a small blue badge in the upper right
corner. If you double click it nothing happens, if you right click and exit
it goes away, but I can't tell what software it is controlling. I can't see
anything suspicious on the start and msconfig items.

Here is a picture of the icon:

I would appreciate your help identifying the mystery program.

Thanks,

Fabio

Mr Bear,
only an exact copy of the "hover text" or "Tooltip" of the icon in
the Notification Area is displayed in the list under the 'Hide Icons' > 'Customise'
button.

In this case, all it would say next to the item (in 'Customize Notifications') is :
"Disconnected"

The mystery icon is part of the GE EasyCam Software/ GE Minicam Pro 98067.
When the camera is disconnected it looks like the mystery icon, but offers
no real useful information with a click, right click or double click.

The camera's quality is really poor and with misleading
icons is not worth the trouble. The services tnspstd3.exe and vsnpstd3.exe
disappear
from the task manager when you exit the icon with a right click at the
systray.

Thank you all for your suggestions on how to solve this issue. With the
collective
support you provided I was able to narrow down the culprit.

Goof job!

I missed the part where you explained how you connected the mystery
icon to GE EasyCam.
