Taskbar Height Problem

T

Tom Hill

Suddenly my taskbar has grown to double height. I cannot get it to go back
to single height. All I can do is hide it or return it to double height.

Would someone be able to tell me how to get it back to single height?

TIA

Try placing the cursor at the top of the taskbar just until it changes into two arrows connected, (one pointing up and the other pointing down), while the two arrows are displayed left click your mouse and hold and then drag the mouse down

Tom, Move your mouse cursor over the top edge of the taskbar until it becomes a double arrow. Then just drag the top edge down to the correct height.

Dragging the bar up and down with the mouse does not work. When I drag it
down, the bar hides. When I drag it up, the bar will only go to double
height. It will not stop at single height.

I have tried dragging the bar up and down with the mouse. When I drag it
down, the bar hides. When I drag it back up, it will only go to double
height. It will not stop at single height.

Before you try to move it, try right-clicking on the taskbar and see if "lock the taskbar" is checked. Make sure it is unchecked, and then try to resize it by dragging.

Have you dragged the toolbars in the taskbar so there is a single row of
toolbars (i.e., one row of double-high toolbars)? Could be you currently
have 2 rows of toolbars. Also, unlock the taskbar to change it (right-click
on taskbar, deselect the "Lock Taskbar").
