Taskbar has disappeared

Win2K system running dual monitors. I crashed out of a
game a couple days ago and found my taskbar has
disappeared from the desktop. I believe it is alive and
well under the visable area of the primary monitor. I need
to get it reset to the visable area and fishing for it
isn't working.

Is there some kind of registry setting I can tweak to get
the taskbar back into the visable area?

Ideas:
Is Auto-hide taskbar your usual setting and have you tried all four
edges?
Do you use the "Magnifier" option in windows? Turn it off.
Have you tried resetting (Desktop Properties, Settings) the "screen
area"? Say from 1024x768 to 800x600 and back again.
