Taskbar starts and then disappears

i have a problem and i have tried fixing for days.

my taskbar with the start button first appear when the computer starts to
load with the clock and msn mesenger, yahoo, anti virus and then it just
disappears on its own. what triggers it to disappear, i have no idea.

i tried the kelly website for tweaks and fixes but nothing has helped.

the taskbar is not on auto hide and it's not hidden on the sides. it simply
disappears after loading.

please help!

Have you checked your system for malware or virus. That is a symptom
of being infected.

yes i have checked using avg and nothing serious came up. whatever came up
has been cleaned and still no taskbar.

no, my desktop icons are fine. they have not disappeared.
