My Taskbar freezes for no particular reason. There isn't a single program
that causes this. Any ideas?

At various times my Taskbar crashes and freezes. It will always happen when
I plug my camera in but will also happen occasionally by just opening a
window. There is obviously a conflict somewhere but I don't know how to
look for it. Can anyone help?

Thanks
Bob

Check your BIOS for USB settings and make sure they are enabled. If your device
does not utilize USB 2.0, make sure it is not enabled.

If no joy make sure you have the proper drivers/software/firmware first to
reinstall.
Get the latest updated drivers from the manufacturers site to install per their
instructions.
Uninstall any drivers/software/firmware for the camera, if prompted to reboot do so
back to your normal desktop.
Reboot to Safe Mode > Device Manager and remove any/all devices listed in USB
Controllers.
Close out of DM and open either MyComputer or Explorer.
Navigate to c:\documents and settings\your user name folder\local settings\temp.
Delete everything in the temp folder.
Navigate to c:\windows\prefetch.
Delete everything in the prefetch folder.
Reboot and Windows should redetect/reinstall the drivers, if not you will need to
reinstall them manually.
Reinstall any software for the camera.

Post back with the results.
