Taskbar Buttons

I've "lost" the taskbar application buttons. I moved Quicklaunch part of the
taskbar ans since then I don't see the applications open in the taskbar. I
can't find any place were I could have "lost" them nor how I can restore
them. Anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks.

Well, the tip says to "Restore My Music Folder on the Start Menu", and unless
I'm hilusinating (after all, it is getting late) the folder is already
present in the Start menu. I also downloaded the file that pops up when I
click the link, opened the notepad file as mentioned at the top of the page,
but I don't know at all what to do with it - there are some 5-6 lines of text
that mean nearly nothing to me.

It may help if I'll be more discriptive about the source of the problem. Do
you know the little dotted lines in the XP toolbars (if you put the cursor
over them there is a two sided arrow)? Well, I accidentally moved the one
that was linked to all of the application bars and "poof" they all went,
practically dissipated. I tried to do everything in order to restore it but
nothing worked. This isn't an installation or program bug, it is something
far weirder, if you will.

If the mentioned problem does indeed have something to do with My Music
folder, I appologize for the wee ignorance. I would appreciate a thorough
explanation of the repair process. If the problem is in the aforesaid source
I truly hope there is a convenient solution.

Thank you for your time, Rock, and anyone else who will assist me.

My, I am really embarrased... The last message had nothing to do with my
problem. I'll be delighted to blame the late hour. Anyway, the problem was
fixed in a snap once I actually did what I was supposed to do - toolbar is
back. I have absolutely no idea why I did whatever was posted in the last
message, but it doesn't matter now. I sincierly appologize, Rock, for
"freaking you out" and thank you very much for the help.

Have a good night and a PC-glitch-free merry Christmas.

No, you were looking at the wrong edit. There are two entries on line 240.
I listed the title of the edit. What I thought you meant was that programs
were not being minimized to the taskbar, and the edit I referred you to
corrects that. However your current description is different and I'm not
sure I understand it.

You need to be even more precise. There are several sets of those double
vertical bars. One is to the right of the quicklaunch bar which is directly
to the right of the Start button. The other toolbars that can be added on
the taskbar normally reside on the right side just to the left of the
notification area where the clock sits. So which ones did you move and in
what direction? What do you mean by " "poof" they all went, practically
dissipated." Did the height of the taskbar change? What happens if you
right click a blank area of the taskbar, what toolbars are checked?

Lol..ok glad it's fixed. I should have looked at this message as well
before I composed my reply to your other one. In any event the same to you,
and thanks for posting back.
