I have a Broadband connection. I have E-Donkey ,when I leave the pc to
download overnight in the morning the CPU is showing 100%. My downloads
have all but diminished and I have to unplug my modem to get any response.
Does any one have any ideas as to what might be causing me this problem....
Thx in advance.

What memory? what processor? How many downloads at a time? What
type/speed is your b/band connection?
When u say your d/loads have diminished, do you mean the throughput has
dropped to almost nothing, or do you mean the amount of downloads still on
the queue have decreased? Does the whole PC hang, or just your internet
connection?

I have adsl, and every so often it stops responding. But unplugging the
modem just pops up a message that the coonection has been removed. If I
reconnect, it doesn't necessarily mean the connection it re-establishes will
work. I actually have to reboot, since the IP stack seems to terminate
*somehow*. (old windows problem)

*sigh*
