Taskbar freezes

Hi,

My task bar seems to hang everytime I connect to the Internet.

It does not make a difference whether I connect as soon as I log on, or if I
wait a while before connecting.

I have broadband and if I leave it connected then all works fine, but if I
have to restart the pc, when I reconnect the broadband it causes the taskbar
to hang.

It does eventually come back to life, but is very annoying.

This has only started happening recently, and neither the connection details
or isp or anything have changed!!

I have updated the modem drivers but that has not made a difference.

Can anybody please help?

someone changed the name on my XP account. not the name on the main screen
when you sign in, but elsewhere. it thinks i'm a new account and all my
settings are gone. all of my pictures, folders, etc...how do i restore my
settings back?
