Hello ,

I have found a problem with the windowsXP (SP2) task-manager;
I set the update speed in the network-graph display to slow (for some
reason),
and then back again to normal,
but now the "normal" update speed isn't 1 sec. anymore but something like 2
sec.
I don't know how to reset its update speed back to 1 sec.
Must be some registry entree where the update-speed is stored.
I found hardly any hits when googling this error-behaviour,
Any help will be appreciated .

The task manager selection says "normal" , normally yielding a 1 sec.
update in stead of 2 sec. which I somehow
managed to get . The "fast" selection gives me 0.5 sec. update speed , the
slow selection gives me 2 sec.,
so I can't get the 1 sec. delay back whatever I select.

I had same problem and I solved it by deleting
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\TaskManager
from the registry.

Task manager must be closed when you do this.
When you start task manager it creates that registy key with default values.
If you don't want to delete it, just rename it.

That worked for me.
