Hi

All of a sudden on one of our development boxes, Task manager seems to have
lost its mind.

All we get is the usr list window, with no caption bar, no menues, no apps
or process or processor tabs etc. You canot even close it down or iconize it.

This makes life really difficult too ..........

Also, and maybe related, the various options to Close down Windows simlpy
ignore you now. To close the machine you can go to the switch users window
and thn use that close option, and it seems to work a lot of the time, or of
course, hit that big red switch, which we hate to do as Windows is unstable
enough without doing that to it regularly ?

Anyone got a fix for this XP idiocy ?

Much appreciated in advance..........

If sounds as if you have Task Manager running in "Tiny
footprint mode". Double click the border to restore it to its
original appearance.

Why is part of my Task Manager gone?

Well done sir - exactly correct -I didnt even know such a mode existed, and
can find no M$$ documenation on this mode at all.

Thanks VERY much - your prompt response has helped our Monday greatly!!!!!

Thanks - I had the same problem, and posted it 6/16 AM. I should have checked
prior posts first. Problem solved.
