Hi all
I think we all know that Windows increasingly believes that it totally owns
our PC's and we usrs are mere awkward distractions to it, but right now one
of our boxes has apparently taken over the world, and it will no longer shut
down - period.
Whether you click a Shut down option on the start menu, Task manager or
anywhere else, we simply see a brief bit of disk activity, and then NOTHING
HAPPENS.
We can change users under FTS on it, but we can only get it to close down
now by going to the switch users screen, then using the Close Windows option
on there.
Of course, the main ON/OFF switch does still work, but it's not a smart
option really !
Anyone got any ideas how to get around this brain dead Windows behavior ?
Thanks in advance.
