task manager help

whenever I hit ctrl+Alt+Del nothing hapapnes, and so i
right click on the toolbar and click task manager, and
nothing happens still. what wrong with it?

i tried to download the virus definitions for that virus,
but every time that I try to open a window with
mcafee.com or something in it, it closes
